Netscape 3 - Very much outdated now. Netscape 3 really isn't worth much
consideration anymore.
Netscape 4.75 - Useable... I haven't had any major problems with Netscape
4. On the downside, sometimes it seems to render pages differently than
the Windows or MacOS versions.

Hi,
Any comments on the most stable, fastest of the browsers? Any other options
other than Opera?
Thanks,

I need to keep netscape 3 for my own use, both due to processing power
and because later versions removed features I use. However, I need 4.5
or later for materials for the classes I teach. (I'm not trying to run
them both at once; dragons be there . . .)

Hi,
Can anyone tell me where I can find Netscape 3? I remember older
versions of Netscape are stored in an archive, accessible via browsers,
but can't remember the URL now. Thanks!
Best wishes,

be able to change the key binding to whatever you want.
This doesn't seem to exist for netscape 3 . . .
hmm, but could I use that to map Alt- to "go back
pages"? I use that all the time. Similarly, could i change the
autoloading of images on/off that way for a given window? (

check out /usr/lib/netscape/45/communicator
About twice a week, I hitt alt-Q rather than alt-W in netscape,
bringing down the whole netscape. This is version 3 (4 is missing a
couple of things that I use). Is there any way to disable that key
sequence?

few years now.

The debian package for netscape 3 gives a URL
(archive.netsccape.com or something) where I can download the
netscape software.
Unfortunately, when I try and access that URL via ftp I cannot get
in, it won't let me.
Any ideas how to get hold of netscape 3???
thanks very much

Dear Debian People,
I have managed to set up Netscape on my machine. The layout of the pages is a
little disapointing. Also, in the shell where I started Netscape (netscape&),
I receive messages like the following:

Did you catch the little blurb at the end of dselect's Netscape install
which explains what you need

That is a problem with the mail dir not existing. Create the dir that
is listed in the mail properties.
