I have 16MB RAM plus an active 64MB swap space, which should be enough
to avoid memory problems I should have thought...
In any case the installation manual seems to imply that I shouldn't have
to go through this 20-floppy base install, it should be possible to do a
net install v

try installing the base system with floppies I think that has all
