Bay used to use DEC tulip chips in these cards. Now they are being made with a chip by Lite-on. If you have the newest card, you will need the newest driver from: http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/tulip.html This driver is known to work with the new chips. Mike On Tue, Dec 01, 1998

Go to the help directory on the floppy that came with the card. There are directions on how to compile support for the Netgear card. All it involves is copying a file (tulip.c) into your /usr/src/linux/drivers/net directory and recompiling the kernel. Be sure to remember the questions you'
