springing an unexpected mysql upgrade on a box, or is this bug worthy?
I checked for a similar bug on bugs.d.o, but didn't see anything...

Same result. It seems to try to start the server an it fails. I happens too
when using aptitude.

I have a server running amd64 Debian port from amd64.debian.net
Becouse of new Moodle version I have to upgrade MySQL from 4.1.11 to 4.1.20
I've tried few things but always ended up with mon working MySQL.
How to upgrade so that the debian settings from old version will stay

My own fault. I forgot to set the "skip-networking" back in my.cnf last
week when I was exploring better security so when mysql restarted this
morning after the upgrade, the new (wrong) parameter took effect.

I just apt-get upgrade d after about a month of not doing so (network
outages). One of the packages to upgrade was MySQL -- from version
3.22.32-4 to 3.22.32-6.
