Probably the normal (the non-legacy) driver packages.
Are there debs for the *legacy* driver? I couldn't find one when I was
looking. I need the 7167 driver for my TNT2

There is also a forum [1] where you can contact NVIDIA developers, but,
as I said, it is already possibl
When I choose to reinstall the current Nvidia driver on my Linux box,
their .run program correctly first removes the existing version and then
procedes with all the steps which successfully install (reinstall) the Nvidia
graphics driver. GEforce 440.
Now, I had it working on a 2.6.16 kernel. I
I have a desktop at home that has RedHat 7.0 installed & RedHat 6.0

other kernel image as
image=/chopin/boot/vmlinuz
I have no problem switching between rh6 and rh7, with no error messages.
I thought I should be able to get

i hope not. /boot/map and System.map are very different.
/boot/map is the boot sector map while System.map map memory
instructions to kernel instructions.

what kind of entry do I need to add to lilo.conf to get lilo to boot
a alternate kernel located on a Zip disk? I can use a custom boot floppy
and mount the Zip disk (/dev/sda1) as root but it would be simpler if
I didn't need the floppy... one less disk to misplace ;-)

Is there some way to pass an alternate name from /System.map (or
/boot/System.map) to the kernel at boot? I'm mucking with a
custom kernel but want to leave the 2.0.30 image safely intact.
I've setup lilo.confto recognise /vmlinuz.2.0.30 as a valid
kernel but can't figure out how to seperate the
