I generally use "xterm -e wvdial &" to fire up my
dialup connection. I noticed that "/dev/ttyS1" has "rw"
permissions for the "dialout" group. A lot of times

on "/dev/ttyS1" are set to "r". The next time I run

I'm sure this was answered sometime recently, but can't find it. I've
added the user to the dialout group, but still get /dev/ttyS1 - Permission
denied when trying to use the modem as a user. Do I need to change more
groups (tty, etc) - if so, which ones
