Is the modem a plug and play modem? If so you may need to install isapnp and
follow its instructions.

I was wondering if anyone knew what else could be done:
I am trying to set up ppp connection, but somehow my modem is not being
detected by wvdialconf. The modem is on COM2, but wvdialconf says that it
checks it and modem is not found.
I am using SupraExpress 336i Sp.
