If you had read the docs carefully, you would have read somewhere, that
this "0122" is hex but lilo

I placed a "vga=ask" line in my Debian 2.2 lilo.conf
file and re-ran lilo. When I re-boot, lilo askes me
for video mode. I press "enter" and the following
seven modes are listed:

2 0F02 80x43
3 0F03 80x28
4 0F05 80x30
5 0F06 80x34
