Since you're compiling your own koffice from source and installing it in
a separate prefix, you're possibly best asking on the koffice lists

Hello,
I had some trouble with Kpresenter and thought if I remove it and install it
again, some trouble might be solved. At least I can add new slides..only
to be sure that I did not broke something by mistake and it is a real bug.
well when I try to install Koffice again I get this
a large portion to install.
However, I wanted koffice, but it would not install. It appears that
half of kde depends on kdelibs3 and half depends on kdelibs4. How can I
resolve this (besides downgrading back to woody)?
I looked in the archives, and found that 2-3 days ago, someone also had

Hello,
Some time ago I read that there are problems with using kde 3.1.3 from
the kde site with the packages for koffice.
You couldn't install koffice because of some dependencies.
Does anybody know if these already have been fixed?
Thanks in advance,

Hi everybody,
I upgraded koffice to the most recent version in woody (1.1.1-6, before IIRC
1.1-beta) and most applications don't even start any more. Example:

I'm trying to install doc-central on woddy, but dselect tells me that it
deppends upon Python 2.0, ehich confilts with an earlier version of Python,
which kvio depends upn, and Koffice depends upon kvio.
What a mess.
In FreeBSD it's possible to have multiple versions of say, tcl/tk

NB I'm not running KDE so I realise that this could be a problem

but when I try to run them as a normal user I get this error:

This evening there will be a clean set of .deb's for all packages based on
current (as of a few hours ago) upstream source.

Well, does anyone know anything about KOffice debs? I'd like to try out
especially kword but it doesn't seem to be at kde.tdyc.com...
Thanks.

I tried but failed. KOffice needs kom.h !?!?
It's better that you contact the kde debian mantainer...
His site is down for a while too.

Hi,
Has anybody compiled KOffice and generated DEB package/s for
Slink/i386?
The KOffice site, via http://www.kde.org/, only has the source, and
I don't have the right stuff installed to do the compile.
I wondered if any other Debian person has already been down that
path if there
Anyone know where to get deb for FDE's koffice for slink? None of the
sites I've found have koffice. Thanks.
