Forgive me for stating the obvious, but the problem here seems to be
that the command that ksmserver is recording isn't working.
Tell us, what happens if you run that command from a terminal? I guess it's
/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9/xulrunner-stub,--sm-config-prefix,/firefox-bin-J4K7Of/,-

Create a link to Iceweasel, in ~/.kde/Autostart, or run ascript to start
it in ~/.kde/env perhaps.

I solved the Problem by using a different graphics-driver in XFree86-4.

Hello,
When I try starting KDE or Gnome from GDM or KDM it doesn't make it past
the splash screen and just returns to the login. Since I use Blackbox
(which works, as does IceWM) myself this is not a problem for me, but my
other half needs something a bit more windows like to use.

It hangs on the second phase (system services) during init and dies
