free drivers. So, if cinnamon needs 'open-gl' capabilities then no way
will it run on this machine! But i do have the relevant legacy drivers
from ati which maybe

background. i suspect i have corrupt desktop for it from my last
attempt at using it, so I've deleted all items saying cinnamon i can
find in .local. and .sha
