Squeeze 2.6.37.4 vs squeeze-backports vs kernel compiling [was IVTV Patch]

Hi again I found three choices to get my PVR-500 to work properly on Squeeze (2.6.32-5-amd64): The first option would be installing at least 2.6.37-4-amd64. This kernel should be a stable release where the ivtv patch is applied (Commit 0ab29c52f9efdd645d565f8be3915183819a6c3e). I found
