Well, as far as I know W95 always requires the first hard disk to boot. I'm
not sure about your configuration but I think this is the case. A good OS is
presumed to deal quite well with a new hard disk...
My computer does have W95 in hda (C: -the first hard disk for MS-DOS) and
it boots
My old configuration:
1st IDE Master: Windows 95 OSR2
1st IDE Slave: CD-ROM
A few days ago I bought a new harddisk and changed the configuration to:
1st IDE Master: new harddisk
2nd IDE Master: Windows 95 OSR2
2nd IDE Slave: CD-ROM
Then I installed Linux on the new harddisk.
