Bonjour,
I have just configured Gnome on Woody:
whereas I can listen to my favorite CD with the cdplayer,
I can not ear the sound events from Gnome
(despite the fact that there are allowed via the Gnome control center).
I guess I have missed something.
Any idea ?
Thanks in advance,

Hello,
I use Debian unstable, and no programs that use sound via Gnome
libraries will make any sound. This includes gnome-control-centre,
gnome menus, gnome games, etc.
Other programs, eg esdplay, sawmill, etc, work fine. Stable also works
fine. What is wrong with unstable?

Hello!
After updating to the current Gnome version in Debian/unstable I have a
problem with /dev/dsp:
Test: wavp/mpg123 playing wave/mp3 files
Sound works well from the console. It even works from an xsession (gdm
stopped)
After starting gdm and within an gnome session I'm unable to use
/dev/dsp
