Freezing in GIMP

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Twice today while doing some minor editing in GIMP my whole system froze to the point where I had to do the ctrl-alt-sysreq thing. Nothing else was running. Anybody else experience this ??? Gnome/testing under an i386 GIMP 2.66 , Gnome 2.24.3
