Hey.
I too had problems with the mouse cursor after upgrading to Jessie. It
turned out I had to uninstall/reinstall the drivers for the discrete gpu.
It seems you have an integrated gpu, but maybe it's worth trying
un/installing the drivers.

Hello,
When I write something (Gedit, Gajim, etc), then slowly put cursor onto it
(input filed), I have buggy vanishing of the mouse cursor. It happens with
different DEs (I've tried Cinnamon, MATE). I use Intel driver and have
system up-to-date.
I don't know what to do, tried to disable HWCursor

Dear all,
I installed jessie with LXDE, 3.16.0-4-amd64.
The problem I am facing is that when I move the cursor or when there are
other changes on the screen like moving lines the Monitor starts to flicker.
The monitor&computer isn't new, there was Debian installed a few years
ago and there it wo
minimised and then unminimised them.
But then the entire screen started flickering.

Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0e)

Hi, everyone
I used a toshiba laptop on debian/stable, and everything was OK!
Now I am using debian/sid for some reasons, but some character
in some fields on LCD screen is flickering, after a long time running

Have you tried without specifying "--rate 75" ?
Since LCD pixels remains "on" (or "off") all the time (as opposed to CRT

Issuing:

for the fact that the lower part of my laptop screen starts flickering

It is setting the display properties... try to see what it is doing on
the screen. You should see it says someth
al behavior. In fact, it should flicker 6 times
-- once for each VT -- I believe.
But in kubuntu, of course with gui booting,I didn't see any flickering. Can
it be avoided?

I believe this is normal behavior. In fact, it should flicker 6 times

I am running debian etch.
While booting, when configuring consle fonts line comes, screen flickers.
Any solution to stop this?

How did you deduce this value ? Maybe the problem is due to this.
Can you change it to say 30-50??

Hi folks,
I have this problem of flickering when running running X session. I
guess
it is due to in appropriate refresh rate. I have a 15" moniter that
comes as a part of dell dimension 4300 config.
I am running session at 1024x768 resolution with hysnc and vsync to be
3-50 and 50-150 t
I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, but I am experiencing some
flickering with the NVidia-provided kernel and GLX drivers. Here's the
configuraton:
- Dell Dimension 4500
- Two NVidia GeForce 4 MX 420 cards, one AGP and one PCI
- two identical Samsung SyncMaster 1200NF monitors
