Has anyone successfully installed firefox extensions globally? I don't
want the firefox extensions installed into my local profile. The benefits
are:
- so that I don't need to install them over and over for different local
users.
- I can switching between my Debian Sarge and Etc

It's probably a permissions thing - isn't it always? - but when I try
to install Firefox extensions and themes (on debian testing with
firefox 0.9.3), most just fail silently. I have a feeling this is a

Dear all,
everytime there is an update of Firefox, all my extensions are gone.
And the re-installation is really tedious! Why are they gone?
Even if there is no updated extension available?
Thanks for any help on how I could avoid this problem.
