The server is a VPS (Virtual Private Server) one.
Indeed the inodes were full.
sudo df -i
Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on
/dev/simfs 50 50 50 100% /
..etc..
So filesystem needs some files cleanup...
I identified which directory was full of files with following command
