system and just upgraded to sqeeze. I found old messages in the Defoma package
logs that said it was a dead project. That was YEARS ago. But it's in Squeeze
and there's no mention of it being d

in /var/lib/defoma/scripts were all empty. Strang as it is, these
scripts don't get regenerated on reinstalling. I copied them from an old
backup.

Today I ran into some strange problem. While reinstalling munin, I got a
segfault, while fontconfig was getting installed. I played around a
little bit, and think I located the root of the problem at defoma. For
example if I run:
apt-get install fontconfig
I get

I have had just the same problem with a fresh sid install.
What I found, and may be of help, is that fc-cache, part of fontconfig
package refuses to write cache files if the directory in question has a
modification time in the future.
I suggest your run fc-cache -v as root, and take

My wild guess is that, since it's looking in /var/lib/defoma, defoma is
somehow involved...

Hi everyone,
I don't know if tetex can handle defoma registered font. If
not, is it a wishlist bug? I think the defoma idea is cool but only if
application know how to use it. And also, I feel that the font handling
in Linux is pretty complicated compare to windows, (too many diff
