The Thinkpad 860 is from around 1995. I would be ok with Windows NT, but

I'm trying to install Debian 40r0 amd64 on a Blade Center (HS20) with
a DS4300 a storage subsystem with boot on SAN.
During the installation everything works well, the storage volume is

Well, a month ago I've installd slink on ThinkPad 385D. The tecra disks
did not help. I ended up compiling a custom kernel as zImage on another
workstation and replacing the kernel image and modules on installation

When I boot off the Rescue disk my machine just reboots and reboots. It
doesn't get past the boot: prompt.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! (Slackware works but I don't like
