Debian newbie: question on apt-get and sources.list

Hi, I am trying to upgrade my x and the packages are available at: http://www.backports.org/debian/dists/woody/pre/xfree86/ How do I specify the above in sources.list? I have read the manual and tried it out, but I am confused. It either doesnt work or doesnt work the way I want. Thanks, Sanj
