DHCP problem following Etch upgrade

This is the same problem as in my previous thread ("Hanging during boot-up following dbus upgrade") but a response on that thread has enabled me to narrow it down a bit. dhcp-client (I assume) is pausing indefinitely at the "bound to 80.x.xxx.x -- renewal in 56953 seconds" message. This appli
