You don't mention what version of dpkg you have installed. The current
version of dpkg in frozen is linked against libstdc++2.9, not 2.8, so
it's quite likely that upgrading your libstdc++2.9
Here's something for those for whom the patched libc6 solved
that bad register frame thing
