Use Xf86config first...that may do the trick.

Hello,
I have been trying to figure ouyt what protocol and device name to
use for my microsoft serial mouse that ius connected to com1. I' have tried
/dev/ttyS0, /dev/mouse and every other device name, but my mouse still
wouldn't move. Could it be the XF86Setup program or are my settin
