Debian was named around Debra and Ian Murdock (Ian being the founder).
Hence I can only pronounce it "Deb-e-an" - I've heard lots of people

I'm having a problem trying to start getty on a serial port and am hoping
someone can give me some suggestions. I'm new to Debian (and Linux in
general) although have a few years experience administrating SCO Unix.
