I have a very basic setup - a smarthost that I dial up to, and a local network (lan) in my home. My error was with the local interfaces option - I specified specific IP addresses for all machines on my network, instead of using the default. I used dpkg-reconfigure to go back and correct my mistake

I upgraded today from Exim3 to Exim4. Now, fetchmail fails to pull my mail from my ISP. I can send mail to myself locally from the console, and read it with Pine. So, local delivery seems to be working. I can send mail out from machine via my ISP, so outbound is working. Can anyone offer thing
