Trying to install Debian 2.1 on a friend's Dell Optiflex 486-66.
I was booting off the bootdisk and when the initial message and the boot:
prompt comes up, I hit enter, and it loads the root.bin, prints 4 periods,
and then hangs, like this:
loading root.bin
I tried all the boot images, r
I used Taper. I am also using an Iomega 2GB tape drive and so I need to
have the newest modules for ftape and zftape.

I am trying to create a custom bootdisk so that I may be able to restore
my old setup off of a tapedrive. I have one problem, I am unable to get
the bootdisk to boot. The kernel loads and the root image is read into
the Ramdisk and then mounted read-only, but then when init is suppose to
