I think I've found a bug in the woody bf2.4 disks.
for some reason partitions formated reiserfs using this disk are auto
detected by the kernel as vfat :(
I think this may have something to do with the previous format of the
disk (which was vfat win98 in this case).

debian-boot only deals with problems getting a basic Debian system up,
that doesn't include X. I'm forwarding this to debian-user where
there are more knowledgable people for this type of problem.

Thanks. 'msdos' turned out, *surprisingly* to be the correct option. It
still hasn't helped me g

I have just obtained the full three CD-ROM Debian CD-ROM set. I wish to
try it out on my old computer first, which does not have a CD-ROM drive
capable of booting.
Therefore I must make a boot floppy.
I used rawrite to create a floppy from the image install/rescue.bin,
which boots the machine up
