I have just installed boa-constructor and it seems to be running OK.
There are three buttons on the Palette Toolbar for help -- One for help
on boa-constructor (which works just fine), one for help on wxPython and
one for help on Python in general. Neither of the last two work
properly. All

I'm playing with the boa package (from unstable) and I'm curious about
the user boa runs on? does www-data exist in debian as a user from
install, or does the boa package create it? I'm presuming it has no
password? Should it?

I just installed boa and having some trouble setting up the VirtualHost. My

Wouldn't you know, I found that errant "print 'DEBUG ..." line. Anyone
else having problems with doc-central (v. 1.3) should comment out line
56 in /usr/lib/cgi-bin/docinfo.py (in function parse_info).
Adios.

Don't know where the problem is exactly, but I'm trying to use the new
doc-central (in woody) with the boa server and I get the 505 error.
The logs for boa aren't very informative:
[05/Jul/2000:05:53:57 +] Forked child
"/usr/lib/cgi-bin/dc-contents.cgi" pid 5
Is there a way to tell boa not to log local connections? I
use boa & dwww quite heavily to browse local documentation and
access_log gets filled with this stuff. I'd still like to log
external connections but it seems that it's both or nothing.
Good morning Debianites! :^>
I pulled down the latest version of Boa, and am having
an interesting trouble: The force-reloads in the
cron maintenance jobs aren't working. The daemon won't
die, even with a "kill". It requires a "kill -9".

I've got httpd boa, but it doesn't run in user nobody:nogroup. (In
/etc/boa/boa.conf that's well) It runs 0:0. And it gives daily (by cron)
a zombie (that zombie is unkillable nor by kill -9 ... ). Thanks.

nobody uses the ngs btw? (Well, let me try! ;))

Right now the only way I can see is to use the build in linux firewall to

File a bug report against boa. The author might be willing to work on that.

Hi
A quick boa question. I would like to run boa as our web server on our
terminal server to run cgi scripts but would really like to be able to
restrict who can run those scripts.
Can I run boa from inetd or are there any ways to easily do this with an
.htaccess file or similar? I'd r

Hi,
following the recent thread about dwww, I decided to try it out. I installed
boa as a web server but was trying as someone suggested in that thread, to
run it through inetd. The idea is that I want to disallow all non-local
connections to the http server. Unfortunately I have deleted those
