Apt-get Info meeded...

I seem to be having a problem now with APT-GET!... When I now run apt-get update then upgrade, I get his: Dynamic MMap ran out of room... Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/stats The package list or status file could not be, parsed or open...??? Can anyone explain to me what is needed to c
