Hello Dean and Brad Thanks for the help, it seems to have worked. The original trouble was, and still is that in order to get a number of applications (Wordperfect, WindowMaker etc) working I`ve installed a mixture of libraries,some of which just don`t get on together.At least according to deselec

By a combination of wild keystrokes I seem to have asked Dselect to remove a number of required packages, my problem is that I can`t seem to find out how to reset it so that it just displays the current situation with nothing to install or remove. I would imagine that this is possible and I haven`t
