Hi there.
I'm having problems trying to setup my ax25 hardware in my Debian system.
I know that the module for my TNC is included in the kernel.
I can't communicate with it with minicom.
The minicom program is configured to use the serial port (COM1) ttyS0 and the baud
rate is corr

After my last message i've just found i've omit to add the alias section
read in AX25-HOWTO in my conf.modules.
now my conf.modules is :
# We could start with a keep statement in here, but since we use a
different
# order for the module path's we just override the whole thing.

hello ,
i repeat my problem for the debian-user mail-list :
I use Debian 2.0 with Libc6 and libc5 , kernel 2.0.35 , z8530drv 2.4c
and ax25-utils 2.1.42a .
In the kernel i've compile in modules :
CONFIG_AX25
CONFIG_NETROM
CONFIG_ROSE
CONFIG_NET_RADIO
CONFIG_BAYCOM
CONFIG_MKISS
CONFIG_SCC
I'm afraid the ax.25 packages are old. You'd be better off to build from
the current sources for now.
Thanks

Hi,
I would like to install the Ham AX25 kernel packages but when I try
to do so, dselect gives the following...
-
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of ax25-kernel-source:
ax25-kernel-source depends on source; however:
Package source is not installed
I am to blame for the shameful state of the ax25 packages. I would have
had more time to work on them, but I let myself become the Debian Project
Leader. I will spend some time on them after I build the 1.2 boot floppies.
Hopefully that will happen this weekend.
Thanks
Bruce
There appear to be two AX25-related packages in the current Debian
distribution -- ax25-util and ax25-kernel-source. Whenever I try to install
either of these, however, dselect claims that both depend on 'source', and
that 'source' does not appear to be available.
