I download the kernel from ftp.kernel.org, compile it and install it the
normal way. I also download the proper source for pcmcia_cs and compile
this after I compile the new kernel. Works ever

I searched the archive about my problem. I compiled a 2.4.6
kernel into a kernel-image .deb package. I installed that kernel,
ran lilo, and restarted the machine.
modprobe cannot find a module named net-pf-1. It searches
that module frequently (10-20-100? in a second), the
