The system I'm using was used for about 2 years as a 24x7 system. Today I
had some real problems with it.
It's an i486 (DX-50) with one 3c905 (ISA) ethernet card.
It worked really good, but today I get many of the following kernel
messages: "eth0: Infinite loop in interru
: Infinite loop in interrupt, status 2011.
Despite the error message, nothing bad seems to happen, as the download
progresses normally and the user is unaware of any problem. I ran top and
hit a bunch of the links and watched as the message appeared and then
disappeared. Is this anything I sho

I suspect an analog problem on your network - what is causing the constant
interrupts is noise on the net. This wastes some CPU time.

this may be more of a hardware question. i frequently see the error
message "eth0: Infinite loop in interrupt, status 2011." on my terminal;
however, the network connection is fine. what should i do to make whatever
is causing that error stop reporting it?
