I have quite (to me) unexplained behavior in a wifi interface I defined
in /etc/network/interfaces config file.
I turned off NetworkManager
root@:~ # systemctl stop NetworkManager.service
root@:~ # systemctl disable NetworkManager
The /etc/network/interface file content
