ed to use acroread as a mozilla plugin. ( I mean I
looked over the whole system, but there is no such file).
Try:
$ dpkg -L acroread | grep nppdf

I agree. First thing after a Debian install I always put the following
line into /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh:
/sbin/hdparm -d 1 /dev/hd[abc]
Works like a treat!

Have a look at Documentation/ide.txt in the kernel-source tree.
"idex=dma" might do what you want. You shold be able to use it both as
a kernel parameter and a module option

Hi,
I am trying to find a common denominator with recruitment agencies who
don't want to accept my cv either in html or text. Most of them keep
insisting in asking for a cv in Word format.
Does anybody know if there is conversion tools from html or text to rtf?
(they'd have to run on Debian)

Hi there,
I have recently installed my new Debian system, running

everything else, like telnetd, fingerd from remote, etc...
Still, I would like to run a Security

Do you know if it is possible to patch the standard debian
2.4.9 kernel-source package to 2.4.10? I would like to use the standard
debian mechanism of compiling and installing a kernel but I am not sure
if that's possible for 2.4.10 at this time.
Thanks for your time!

I second this. Also, I bet you any O'Reilly book that quite a few
people on this list can write a more flexible solution than Norton
Ghost with just the standard UNIX tools (and Perl maybe) :)
P.S. even 'cp /dev/hda ' works great

I am at work right now in UK. And I can't stop thinking about what
happened, either. This feels like a nightmare we all are struggling to
wake up from ...

this tragedy. :(

if it's only for running commands, you might want to use
/etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh. Looks like it's meant for "Miscellaneous
things to be done during bootup."
