Thanks to everyone. I got pppd to connect to my isp. Under plog I see where a serial connection is established and it shows a link between ppp0 and ttyS2. But shortly after the link is created, it hangs up. I have enclosed a excerpt from /var/logs/ppp.log Thanks for any help ahead of time Scott J
