Hi.
I've got a Plustek OpticPro U12 scanner (it's a little old) running
under Debian "Etch".
I have installed SANE and the scanner works fine with xsane,
xscanimage, kooka, quiteinsane,... but not with scanimage.
When I try to do a multi-scan with scanimage like this:
scanimage -p --batch-count
Thanks to everybody for the help about FLAC and CDPARANOIA. I'll take
a look at Grip and KAudioCreator.
Greetings.

Hi.
Can someone tell to me what of the above programs is better, EAC or
CDPARANOIA? Anyway, both of them do basically the same things, don't
they? I read somewhere that it's possible run EAC using wine.
And another question: is there any frontend or GUI for CDPARANOIA?
Bye.
TIA.
Sorry, the previous message was sent before complete.
The question I was asking for was:
Is there any frontend or GUI for FLAC in Debian GNU/Linux?
Thanks.

I've just runned this command in the shell provided by the installer:
md5sum -c md5sum.txt
and a lot of packages failed the md5 checksum (in fact, almost every
package in the DVD Binary-1). It seems _very_ strange, isn't it?
Any idea?
TIA.

Hi everybody.
I've just finished download the Debian "Etch" weekly-build
(2006-12-11) and, when I've tried to install Debian, I've got this
message:
"There was a problem reading data from the CD-ROM. Please make sure
it is in the drive. If retrying does not work, you should check the

Hi.
I have searched in the Emacs manual (I really use Emacs since two
weeks ago), and then I also searched in google, but I haven't found
any way to fold code in Emacs (I am using the pascal-mode, although I
don't know wether folding code depends on the mode that one is using
or not).
I just want

Hi.
I don´t know why, but since I changed the driver "fglrx" for the
"radeon" in xorg.conf, trying to get 3D aceleration, the X server
changes the keymap every time that it starts (keys changed, and also
some of them didn´t work, like the logo and the AltGr keys). I didn´t
change anything more, an

Hi everybody. (Excuse me if my english is not very well.)
I use Debian GNU/Linux Etch, with X.org 7.0.0.
Although the system recognizes my video card and monitor, and
although it seems that all is well configured in the xorg.conf file
(see below), when the X server starts, at first it tries to lo
