Hello,
I am using Debian testing. I am not a developper and not really skilled
for installation processes (I usually follow the instructions to the
letter and it works).
I tried to install several things using "apt-get install" command (see
list below) and I always get an error message saying
Goodday.its me Sarah bear. What are u up too tonight? If you're not too busy
lets talk on my webcam.

Hi.
I'm running Debian unstable and I'm trying to use my
external modem with kppp or wvdial, but I can't get it
to work (I do it as root).
If I start my laptop with a Knoppix CD then I can use
kppp without problems (it's and older version). I've
tried with wvdial and it happened the same as with
kp
ppears the error "no able to open
resolv.conf". I've copied that file from my old computer to the pppd
directory in the laptop, but it doen seem to work. I've been takeing a
look at the ppd directoy, and reading the kppp file, but I've run out of
ideas.
Any help

I'm trying to watch it (I thougth "reproducing" implied the same). And I've
turned DMA on, but it didn't changed anything.
My laptop is a Clevo, and

No, it wasn't. I turned it on on the hard disk, but did'n't think of the
DVD-ROM. I can't try it right now with any DVD, but I guess now it will work
fine.
Thanks a lot :)

You are completely right. Sorry about that.

Do you think it can have anything to do with whith the
rc*.d files or the patch for the kernel? How can I try
to solve this? I wouldn´t like reinstalling my system
all over again.
