without having the proper acces rights.
If i remember correctly (switched to courier some time ago) you have
to give the user the right to create subfolders (c) with cyradm.

tarted crashing again. Again, bad blocks on swap
partition.
Installed SCSI Controller and Disk, after some days the machine had
bad blocks again. This time i hooked the disk to another computer ran
badblocks again -> no bad blocks found!!
Finally i installed a new board, prozessor and memory and everything
is fine since (8 weeks for now).
Summary: Hardware is alive and evil!

what kind of Cartriges do you use?
I also use a HP DDS3 tape, and found out, that it doesn´t like some
tapes. Especialy Sony tapes dont work in this drive. Maxtor and HP
cartriges work fine.

After the compile (wich takes a real long time) i copied
the matrox drivers (mga_drv.o, mga_hal_drv.o) from
/build-tree/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/drivers/mga

/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ .
The instructions for compiling are in the matrox-source, you will find
more info in the matrox-forums as stated in another mail.

I didnt notice this at first, as i was logged in as root, so i dont
know which package caused this (base-passwd??).
Anyway, editing /etc/passwd and /etc/group solved the problems with
nis for me.

Some Ideas to test:
Does the automounter unmount if you send him USR1 signal? (Worked for me)
Do the logs show something that looks like an error?
As a workaround i had set up a cron job to send the automounter a USR1
Signal to do the unmount.

I had some problems with X 3.3.1 (screen locked). ATI Mach 64 was also OK,
S3 Trio64 was not. I guess you have a problem with your X-Server or Card.
