I've just installed the Nvidia drivers on my Debian, however, after i do it,
the laptop brightness control doesn't work anymore...
When i press the keys, i see the brightness bar, however, the brightness
stays at maximum.
I've used the following commands to install the drivers.
apt-get upda
to adjust this library to
/usr/lib/lapack/liblapack.so.3gf. I did it with
sudo update-alternatives --config liblapack.so.3gf
I think the package you need is libatlas3gf-base.

I have a Visioneer OnTouch 8700 USB scanner
(actually a Primax USB scanner?)
vendor=0x0461, product=0x0371, Realtek RTS8801B chipset
Its said to be supported by the linux kernel scanner driver,
(scanner.c) though there doesnt seem to be a sane backend written
for it.
