I
don't have a broadband connection :-(. You'll have to grab grub
separately from debian, because it's not included in
Libranet. Libranet's installer isn't as flashy as Mandrake or Progeny,
however.

has written a piece of
software called FAI (fully automatic installation) to automate setting
up debian on a network of computers. I haven't used it, but it looks
promising. http://www.informatik.uni-koeln.de/fai/download.

(the one about November 4, 2000 helped me) and
www.debianplanet.org has an (old) article about setting up xfree86
4.01 on potato. www.debianhelper.org also has some info. I personally
found that getting the /etc/X11/XftConfig done right was important for
fonts in Kde.

Hi,
The HP 722 is a winprinter (I have the misfortune to have one also), but it is
partially supported (black and white printing only) on the potato distribution
(currently frozen). Good Luck!

Just download the .debs and install (as root) by
dpkg -i [name of deb]
make sure that you get all four of the debs and that they are of the
same version!

Hi all,
I am new to Debian, having recently replaced Redhat 5.2 with Slink on my
computer. Everything went well until I foolishly tried to install
Blackbox 0.5 from unstable on my system. It didn't work, of course. I
tried apt-get -remove, dpkg -r, dpkg --purge, dpkg -r --force- and always retu
