I've downloaded and installed timidity, timidity-patches and kmidi from
unstable. Things work reasonably well, but many of the patches are not
recognized by kmidi and when I try to play .mid files I get a lot of error
messages about some of these patches not being available (e.g. acpiano.pat)

After installing and removing packages, again and again, I am sure I have
multiple packages which were
installed to satisfy dependencies and which are currently doing nothing but
occupying disk space.
Wouldn't it be nice if there was software which could look at all your
installed packages and
