not under X, can i let emacs use diffrence color to express C
codes? i try M-x font-lock-mode, nothing happen.(but i have
a Emacs for NT, M-x font-lock-mode do work).

hello everybody
now i use two diffrent kernel. i find the old one look my
print as lp1, and the new one look it as lp0. when use lpr
it fellow the file /etc/printcap to invoke lp1, so, under
the new kernel it refuse to print.
any suggestion?

my sound card is Creative PCI 128 digital, some times ago, i
had post some question about it. and people told me to use
a newer kernel, so i update the kernel from 2.0.38 to 2.2.14.
question 1. i shall use Creative es1371 or the OSS one?

i want to mount ntfs, so i install ntfs2.0.33_971218-4.deb,
i use
# insmod -f ntfs.o
and it tell me this ntfs.o is for kernel 2.0.33, and im using
kernel 2.0.38
what shall i do?

hello everybody
i have some assembly code write by my friend, they were close
in a function. when i compile the c file, gcc report add nudeclare
or something like this. i had use
# cc -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -m386 -Wall
to invoke it.
i know nothing about assembly, shall i include something?

i wrote a program a.out. it get input from stdin, so i can use
pipe or redirection to get data from file. such as
# cat foo|a.out
the problem is foo is end in "LF" ( 0A ), and it will let a.out
get wrong output. if i run
#a.out
and input data from keybord, then end it by ctrl+D

i wrote all function in a .h file, and include it in a mian
file, then cc -g ... late i use gdb to debug, when i use
command "list", it just list the code in main file, how can
i list the codes in .h file, so i can inset a break point or
something else?

have a stupid question about gs: how to specify the pages i
want to print? "gs -?" told me: embed %d or %ld for page#
but get me an exmple, i had try to print page 5 of foo.pdf use

i have only a aged printer, its a Epson Lq 100 (esc/p2).when i
use it to print ps files, it often make little mistakes.for
example:
#gs -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=epson -sOutputFile=\|lpr love_C.ps
then 1/3 of the width will disappear
if
#gs -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=epsonc

i know what X server is, and i am using S3. but i feel confuse
of the X window manager.someone told me the gonme is not a window
manager.but in my opinion it do the same thing as the enlightment.
what's the diffrences?

is there any good download software (something like net vampire) for linux?
i fell very happy with debian, but when i want to download something, i had
to comeback to Windows to use the "Jet Car", a very good download programs.
but i really hope someday i can say bye-bye to M$.
