This seems to be an issue with XFce4's window manager. The same
happened to me with thunderbird + Chrome. It doesn't happen on Gnome.
Probably worth filing a bug against xfwm4.

You are using sarge, but your apt repository is pointing to current
stable "etch", which makes your apt unusable. You should follow
