Hello Friends!
I was just wondering if it takes about 35 seconds for your Debian system to
open LibreOffice. Mine does. My Debian is:

Hello Friends!
Suppose I installed Debian first followed by Windows 10. The GRUB will be
overwritten, correct?
How do I get it back? Do I boot a Debian live USB? Does a Debian live USB
have a tool where I can easily install GRUB in the mbr? (then it would
detect the windows os, if not then I

It does absolutely nothing.
Hello Friends!
I was downloading something via Firefox browser but it keeps failing. So
I tried wget but same result, but at least in the terminal I get an error
message:

Hello Friends!
Correct me if I'm wrong but there doesn't seem to be an 'official' way of
creating a Live USB Debian that is 'persistent'.
If I google it, I get instructions from other websites, like this one:

I don't see a vlc-centric email list in the off-topic list so I just asked
in VLC instead.
Thank you for pointing that out for me.

Hello guys, I just want to ask if this email list is strictly for Debian?
Or can one ask just about anything as long as it's related to GNU/Linux,
free software, etc?
I'm asking because I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere. It's about
VLC player.
No worries if this is for Debian only.

Hello Friends
I copied a script called backlight-brightness from the directory,
/usr/local/bin
of another GNU/Linux distro,
and pasted it to the same directory of my Debian system.
If I run it in terminal,
kaye@laptop:~$ backlight-brightness

You are right. This did it for me:
$ mkdir -p /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d
$ echo 'Section "InputClass"
Identifier "libinput t

That worked. Thank you.
Also, is there a way to change the font color on the panel? For example,
the default "Applicaitons" text on the menu button of the panel. Or the
time text on the right side of the panel.
Thank you

Hello friends!
Searching for p7zip-full in synaptic, I can see that it is installed.
However I can't find it anywhere.
In the terminal:
kaye@laptop:~$ sudo whereis p7zip
[sudo] password for kaye:
p7zip: /usr/bin/p7zip /usr/lib/p7zip /usr/share/man/man1/p7zip.1.gz
but is that the full version?

Hello friends,
My system is:
Host: laptop
Kernel: 4.19.0-6-amd64 x86_64
bits: 64
Desktop: Xfce 4.12.4
Distro: Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Following the instructions on this web page:
https://snapcraft.io/install/viber-unofficial/debian
I installed viber with these commands:
sudo apt update
sudo
l it.
Same technique for the scanner driver.
Thanks!
