Attached are : Xorg.0.log and xorg.conf.

link is a problem. I am using a 512Kbps ADSL link. Another thing is to
know how to save those videos for offline viewing. The method used from
within Mozilla i.e. Tools->Page Info->Media does not always work because
a video is often broken up into several image parts.

Thnaks for all the info provided. My worry about mplayer is that I have
come across warnings about its IPR infringement. Is that nothing to
worry about?

Hi,

I am using 'testing' with kernel 2.6.8 and XFree86 4.3.
Getting the pen/tablet to work would be a staightforward process?

For the beneift of others who may face the same problem in the future,
there is an easy way out. There is another keyboard driver called "kbd"
and with it, XFree86 can work without a physical keyboard.

Instead of a h/w keyboard, I want to operate the system with on-screen
keyboard and a pen/tablet.
Just taking out the keyboard or removing the revelant input device part
in XF86Config-4 would not work; there would be no screen upon boot-up.

i don't understand all these variants. why not just continue with debian
alone? if you find some way to improve on debian, why use it to produce
another branch? E.g. the bootable cd of Knoppix, why not just have a
bootable cd for debian?

nd is why the lack of a keyboard could determine the
screen-layout. I am sure XFree86 can be used without a keyboard as in a
tabletPC. I have used one such device with xfvm or fvrm or something like that.
Any comment?
