xf86config-4 setup problems

SORTED The system could not find a driver for hdc, my cdrom drive ... modprobe -l said it could not find the modules.dep file, its search path was for an older kernel !!! - wierd I finaly twigged that the kernal modprobe was looking for was my old red hat kernel that used to be on this pa
