I am still booting from floppy and it takes ages so I look for help:
I have hda with win2k on it. Boots if no cd-rom or floppies in drives.
And then there is the hdb with debian. Boots from floppy (loads the kernel
etcetc from floppy).
So yes these are separate HD's.
Now from previous experienc
Ok, I managed to get my potato baked, and despite some problems with
Xwindows I got that as well as gnome running (with mouse!)..
..however there are a few things that didn't quite work out
properly.
- Xwindows starts up into 640 x 480 8 bit color mode. It should run 32 bit
colors under 1280 x 10

Should I forget USB? Anyone have any links to docs on
USB configuration, or time for some support?
As for the ps2, evidently ps-mouse device doesn't
exist, any hints on 'how to'?
Or do you think I should just reinstall the whole
thing?
