Hi,
I intend to install etch with xfce and would like to know how many cd-s do I
have to download that include the base system. I read somewhere that the first
cd doesn't include the entire xfce desktop. Do the first and the second cd
include it?

Hi,
I would like to retrieve the Debian usplash (black
with the red swirl on the left) from the installation
cd because I want to use it as a wallpaper, but I
cannot find it. Could anyone tell me where is it
located, I mean in what folder.
Thanks

The problem is now solved. I edited the sudoers file
entering my username with the following command:
User_Alias FULLTIMERS = mak
FULLTIMERS ALL = NOPASSWD: ALL
After that, I created a link with sudo /usr/bin/xcd.sh
command, and now the program ejects the cd without
problem.
Thanks eve

unable to make the link to the script work. The only
way I can execute the script is to login as root,
navigate to the /usr/bin directory and double-clicking
on it. How can i make the lin

Hi,
I've just installed sarge and from some strage
reasons, I cannot start synptic form the menu. But it
runs perfectly from the command line. However, when I

Hi,
I've just installed sarge with much help from the
debian community. It works fine, now, and I am very
satisfied with it. But I have a few things still left
to fine tune.

repository addresses.
2.Currntly, I can start synaptic only form the com
